Course Overview

The ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Maintenance Technician course trains healthcare facility personnel on the proper maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of in-place medical gas systems. Students will learn NFPA 99 maintenance requirements, how to plan and execute scheduled shutdowns, perform outlet repairs and replacements, and maintain accurate documentation. The course includes a practical demonstration component in addition to the written examination.
